Journal Eight by Abdulwasi

The Hurricane was a devastating event for all the people who lived in the area at the time. It killed a lot of people as well as destroying what ever got in its way. However, I liked the role of WPA at the time. It helped keep the dam from collapsing. The dams protected several people and properties worth more than $100.000 as well. WPA showing up and help fight the storm was the most positive and patriotic thing they have done especially at the time of the economic crises. Not only the WPA did prevent the dam from destroying, they also helped rebuild the cities that were destroyed by the hurricane.
