The most interesting chapter to me was "The American Guides: Idaho Versus Washington, D.C." It was really funny how Alsberg and Fisher were competeng whose guide will be published first. The quote that I liked is on page 313-314 last paragraph, when Alberg sent and editor to Idaho to revise Fisher's guide. Editor did not like his guide and Fisher decided to offer him some liquor, and when he was drunk Fisher took him to a train station and sent him back. it is of coarse understandable why they were competeng. If Idaho was first state to publish a guide then it would get fame first, and every Sate will decided to follow its guide for writing their own.
