If I discuss little bit about in chapter 14 says “layoffs and protests”

In 1936 There were a massive economic crisis than ever in 1933 when unemployment had fallen from 24.7 percent to below 17 percent so president Roosevelt made his first cut in July of WPA budget by 25 percent and federal one by third so most of the art projects were laid off and revived pink slips for different states such as New York Chicago and san Francisco.

A lot of protests worked out and responded to the laid off with a serious disruptive they took over the headquarter of the art projects for more than 200 protests pushing the chairs and the desks at the door at eight floor to keep police from entering also cut the phone wireless then the police arrived some were arrested after they fought
